Earlier this month I was on a one week diving trip to Hurghada, Egypt. This trip came as a bit of a surprise, as I was asked to join by a diving friend on only a few days’ notice. Weather in Hurghada was hot and the city itself is not a very nice place to hang out, but luckily diving there is great!

The trip was also an excellent chance to test my new RDX-550D housing in good visibility. I took quite a few photos, the better ones can be found in the gallery. While shooting with a DSLR in a large housing with external flashes takes some time to get used to, I found this trip a valuable learning experience. I managed to take some quite nice shots and already the overall quality is much higher than with a compact.

While focus was definitely on still photos, I also shot a few short videos. I will go through them later and see if there’s any material worth sharing.
